After reading the five articles, I think Singapore must not be complacent in her achievements. Even though top officers from China came to Singapore to study and to learn what Singapore has in store of keeping the country successful and stable. Singapore should not be complacent and stop progressing. We should always have the mindset of keep improving and strive for the better. "There are always people who are running even if you stop to rest." For example, in the first article, Shanghai's port retained its title as the world busiest container port for a fifth consecutive year after widening its gap with its closest rival Singapore. Also, I believe that every country has its own strength and weaknesses. A country (Singapore) should always be able to spot other countries pros and cons and learn from their pros to improve itself and alternatively try to avoid the cons prevent the same mistakes from occurring and affecting the country. Also, Singapore is a small country, it is very vulnerable if there's any breakout happened around neighbouring countries.
Not only that, Singapore should not be complacent as one's attitude determines everything, if you are arrogant to approach another country, I do not think another country will be friendly and willing to offer you their insights and another perspective to solve the problem. Thus, I do not think Singapore should be complacent.
