To keep or not to keep

I think historical places like Boat Quay, Chinatown, Kampong Glam, Little India should be perserved.
As they add variety to our urban environment, stimulating visual interest and excitement within the city.
The conservation of these buildings can show our rich architectural, historical and cultural heritage. By protecting our rich heritage, we are actually protecting our nation identity. More importantly, the buildings in these places give us a sense of history and memory even as we move into the future.

To the tourists, this is where they can go to understand more about our nation, our past. It serves as attractions.
To the older generations, this is where they grew up. By preserving it, they will not be saddened that many familiar buildings were gone and not felt that they had lost parts of their roots.
To the future generations, this is where they can learn about Singapore history and no matter how many years our heritage will be inherited down.

Thus, this places must keep.
